Aquarius Horoscope for February 2009 By Susan Miller
February will be a month to savor like a piece of fine chocolate. There will be an array of goodies set out before you, and because you've not seen such an abundance presented, you may be tempted to grab at everything, pushing as many of those delicious treats into your mouth (and pockets) as you can muster. The treats that will be given to you in 2009 won't disappear, so there's no need to worry, dear Aquarius. You can take your time, for you will be the celestial favorite in 2009. This trend started on January 5 and will last until January 17, 2010. Mercury was retrograde in Aquarius last month, so suffice to say you probably didn't notice the full force of this delicious trend. Mercury turns direct February 1, so you now are set to receive all that the universe wants to present to you. Whenever Jupiter comes by in a rare visit to your sign - this happens once in 12 years - the universe delivers the horn of plenty. The trick to succeeding will be to pick and choose carefully. You'll want to center your attention on the projects and relationships that hold the finest potential for success. Jupiter is, after all, the great planet of gifts and luck, known to bring opportunity, luck, healing and health, expansion, financial success, and many new people to your path, including your soul mate if unattached. The last time you had Jupiter in Aquarius it was 1997!
Having Jupiter in Aquarius alone is perhaps not quite enough to have you see massive lifestyle changes occur, as a planet needs others to interact with to make dramatic things happen. Indeed, think of planets like people. One planet - or person - spinning around alone, say, at a party, cannot create much of a stir, not until that person - or planet - begins interacting with others. When you add one or two other planets (or persons), suddenly you can cook up something exciting. You will have the support of the Sun, Jupiter, Mars as of February 4, and by mid-month, Mercury, in Aquarius. You will also have a very friendly Venus in Aries, so while all the months of 2009 will be bright, February could be truly sensational for setting you off in an important new direction, on any level you choose.
You probably are accepting this news with a large dose of skepticism. "Yeah, right," you're saying to yourself. "Nothing in my life ever changes." It would be easy to discount all this, because nothing in your life (except for the solar eclipse that just occurred January 26) indicated anything would change much. Who would blame you for being weary? For years you've been so busy attending others' needs, running from pillar to post, all the while wondering when you will have a chance to be the lucky, favored one.
Now, low and behold, a rather brilliant lineup of planets in Aquarius comes along, and you CAN think about yourself and you should! It will be as though a microphone will be placed squarely in your hands, and it will be your turn to say what it is that you feel will make you deeply happy.
What is it that you would truly want, dear Aquarius? Don't try to over-think all this - just say what it is, straightforwardly, and let your heart do the speaking. No matter how dark the road has been to get to where you are now, you have arrived, and from now on you will move through very new terrain, one that will be noticeably sunnier. Bravo, Aquarius!
From February 4 on, Mars, the energy planet, will move into Aquarius, to stay until March 16, and at that time will give you a rare opportunity to be in charge. Being "Simple Simon" (the person in the game who says, "Do this!" "Do that!" and everyone almost magically follows the commands) may make you feel giddy at first. You may be stunned to see how easily your ideas are accepted this month, including those you feel are your biggest, best, and most risky. Certainly those are the ones you should be presenting now!
Mars will join Jupiter, the Sun, and Neptune, all in Aquarius, and Venus, soon to move into compatible Aries, will send kisses to all four. Mercury will join this gang of four later, from February 15 on. To say you've got massive control over the direction events take this month is an understatement! Life cannot always be this sweet, but now that it is, you need to take full advantage.
If ever there were a moment to greet the world with both arms extended, assertively, it's now. Voice your needs, dreams, and ideas, and by all means, pluck that juicy fruit hanging off the branch of the tree. It's yours for the taking, dear Aquarius.
The first house of the horoscope, where the conglomeration of planets in Aquarius will take place, rules your personality, vitality, and even your appearance, and all will sparkle!
This month, take time to update your appearance. You can now cast a critical eye at the image you see of yourself in the mirror and make the exciting changes you'll love. You may also want to use some of the birthday money you may receive now to buy new clothes or to splurge on a salon / makeup - or for my male readers, a barber shop - consultation. You deserve to feel like a million and you also deserve to look like a million.
The solar eclipse that appeared very recently, on January 26, started you thinking about the new life you may now want to create for yourself, and moreover, it may have already showed you a way to achieve it. (If not yet, this may come within weeks or months, depending on your exact birthday.) The closer your birthday falls to January 26, the more you will feel this particular eclipse - and it's a positive one at that! You may want to read last month's forecast, always available on AstrologyZone.com. Have a look under the summary of this report for the link back to the previous month.
The events that may have occurred at the end of January will be enhanced and enlarged in February. Mercury was retrograde through much of January, however, hampering your efforts, but Mercury will turn direct February 1, making this month much more progressive and satisfying.
Also, Mars will move over the precise degrees of that eclipse on February 12, so that day, plus or minus five days, would be a time to watch.
Jupiter's appearance in Aquarius heralds not only a New Year, but will start off a new a new decade for you. In fact, Jupiter's influence this year will carry you forward all the way until December 2020 when Jupiter will again visit your sign. It is that important! This is no small stuff!
This month also holds a full moon lunar eclipse on February 9 in your house of significant other. This full moon will bring a decision about your partner, and this person may be associated with you romantically (say, as a marriage partner) or in business (such as a business partner or agent, for example).
The problem is that Neptune will be churning out a great deal of fog at this full moon lunar eclipse, so you may not have all the information you need to make a decision or to see this person clearly. You may misunderstand the messages you may be picking up near February 9, so more research may be necessary. In business, if taking on a new partner, check references and investigate that person's standing in the industry. Even longstanding partnerships may require a bit of checking up on to find out what's what.
It is very possible that something you didn't know about your partner will emerge shortly - either immediately or in the coming weeks - and cause you to have to revamp your entire estimation of your partner one way or the other. If you are in love, make sure you don't throw caution to the wind and run off to Las Vegas to wed - Neptune can bring on such a feeling of enchantment that it could make you want to throw caution to the wind!
Eclipses change relationships and conditions in the blink of an eye. Timetables shift, perceptions are refocused, and goals are refined. The job of an eclipse is to see certain truths and to help you use your time well. If a relationship has not been productive for you, or if your partner has had an agenda that strongly differs with yours (and thwarts your progress), the eclipse will ask you to reassess why you are still in this alliance.
If you are in a really strong and loving (or in business, a profitable) union, the universe will ask you to make more of this association. Eclipses really do create this kind of black and white effect in an attempt to get you off the fence and on to the next stage of your life. Keep in mind any news or development that comes up will be to protect you.
If you were born on or within five days of February 9, the eclipse will speak directly to you.
One outstanding day for you, when just about everything will go your way, will be when Jupiter aligns with Mars (just like in the song "Aquarius") on February 17. You may be traveling at the time, a good time to do so. You might alternatively (or additionally) be signing a contract, doing a speaking engagement, negotiating a sale, or something else important. What a day this is - it rates four stars! Your career should bring excellent news, for Mars rules your tenth house of career success.
I will digress for a moment to discuss another reason this day is so special. February 17 is, in the United States, "Digital Day" when all our TV sets go digital and leave analog. This day is so spectacular for this purpose that I feel an astrologer had to have picked this date for our government because how could it have been coincidental? The last time these two planets - Mars and Jupiter - met in the electronic and "digital age" sign of Aquarius it was January 20, 1998.
Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius rates five stars and will bring vast and positive implications for the future! It's an incredibly lucky day to be doing this, despite the throngs of people who seem to be uninformed and will find their TV sets not working. Believe me, from this day forward, we will see digital gains we can't have even imagined come into being as a result in months and years to come.
Now let's return to your chart, and look at romance.
Depending on what you learn earlier in the week, Valentine's Day could be exhilarating or a little depressing. There appears to be no middle course! In the case of the latter, should things turn out that way, remain philosophical. You don't want to be with anyone who doesn't appreciate you! In your glorious Jupiter year, you have a superb chance to meet your one true love, so don't squander these energies on the wrong person!
Actually, February 16 through 18 are your best days of the month, and it's very possible that you'd feel the glow earlier, on Valentine's Day. Here's what I see for you on those days.
On February 16, Jupiter will send a sweet message to Venus - a beautiful and very rare day for love and affection. You may also get good news about your home. As I said, there's a glow around this day, so you might feel things earlier, over the weekend of February 14-15.
As said earlier, February 17 brings Mars conjunct Jupiter, a sensational day, especially for your career and for travel.
Look forward to this day and the following day, February 18, when Mars and Venus will be so sweetly angled. This is a lovely "sex appeal" configuration, and it has your name written all over it! All three days - February 16, 17, and 18 - will have the moon in fire sign Sagittarius, a sign that supports your air sign element. You'll love these dazzling days!
As you see, despite the eclipse on February 9, the chances of you being happy this month will far outweigh the chances of you being unhappy, so keep thinking good thoughts. Remember, you are the prize in 2009, so you have nothing to fear. Everyone dreams of having aspects as golden as yours, dear Aquarius!
Money has been a sore point for you in recent years. Now very good news is due to arrive. The new moon, due February 24 in Pisces, may bring two opportunities for you to make substantially more money. The part of the chart where this new moon will occur rules earned income - the money you see in your paycheck.
Pluto will be very helpful from your twelfth house behind-the-scenes sector, so a confidential talk with a very high level VIP, mentor, or advisor could produce exceptional results, if not immediately, soon. This will be your best financial new moon in a long time, so if you haven't received a raise recently, it will be vital that you ask for one in that week or in the first week of March. If your company cannot afford to give you a raise and you need more money, make discreet inquiries at competitive firms.
Thanks to an extraordinary meeting of Mercury and Jupiter on February 24 (coincidentally the same day as the new moon,) you will have luck with loans, a mortgage, venture capital, a sale of expensive property, a settlement or insurance claim, or you may even get good news from your accountant about taxes. Alternatively, you may earn a generous commission that would also be welcome.
Travel could be on your agenda too in February, and if so, it appears you'll go for relaxation, inspiration, and sentimental romance. Happily, your best time to go will be over the weekend of February 14, Valentine's Day, or in the days that span February 16-18. Thanks to the loving connection of Jupiter, Mars, and Venus, you'd have an out of this world experience if you do hit the road. Consider doing so! You may do something as simple as drive out of town for a meal at a cozy restaurant with great food and a blazing fireplace. Your love life will crackle just as brightly!
Summary
This is your month, dear Aquarius, and you've waited a very long time for this. February could be your very best month of 2009, for all sorts of new developments will begin now to set you off on a new and more secure direction. All the hard work you've been doing, professionally and even personally, that you thought was simply being poured into a black hole and not seen or appreciated by anyone will now bring a wonderful payoff.
You have many heavenly bodies in your sign: the Sun, Jupiter (gifts and luck), Mars (as of February 4), Neptune, and Mercury (as of February 14). The fact that Mars will be part of the gang of planets in Aquarius is very fortunate, for Mars attests to the fact that you have a great deal of control over your life and that others will be willing to help you succeed. Mars is the planet of action! Of course, having Jupiter, the great benefic, in your corner is the best of all, and now Mars will be your booster rocket to get you to where you need to be.
Last month's eclipse in Aquarius, January 26, was a key signal that things were about to change for the better for you.
Now a full moon lunar eclipse will come by on February 9 and put the spotlight on your closest alliance. Are you happy? If so, this eclipse will draw you closer, even if you are already committed.
Valentine's Day could prove to be a magnificent moment, not only because you have Jupiter so close to your Sun, but also because of a string of three configurations due February 16, 17, and 18, respectively: Jupiter signaling Venus, Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius, and finally Mars and Venus in sweet, flirtatious angles. You may decide to travel over Valentine's Day (or during one or more of these three dates mentioned). Other parts of your life will be on fire, too - all to your delight.
If you are not happy in your relationship, the universe will ask you to find out why and to do something about it - to fix your alliance, or if you are beyond that, to leave. This could be felt in a business or romantic alliance, so see what happens. Eclipses bring certain truths to light, and in your case, you may get conflicting messages at this eclipse, so take time to get to the bottom of things.
Even if you do break up with your partner now, you're in such a strong position that I can only say it is most likely for the best. You don't want to be tied to anyone who does not value you, not in this dazzling, made-for-Aquarius year. If you hope to meet someone new who is truly right for you, 2009 is the year for that - absolutely!
If you are already committed, this would be a great year to have a baby - consider it! If you have your children already or don't want children, the upcoming aspects engender wonderful aspects for creative efforts, something you will start to see in full force by May.
By time you get to the new moon in Pisces, February 24, you will see an upturn in your finances. You may see a business or financial action begin at this time, so look for opportunity. New moons are times to plant seeds. It may take you up to six months to realize the full flowering of the situation (or it may be much shorter), but the point is to start something because the universe will be on your side!
Dates to note:
Planets in Aquarius will create such a commotion in early February that put you front and center of any important endeavor, personal or professional. It's a time to take risks, voice your needs and vision, and get your new life launched.
You'll make a key decision about a partner at the lunar eclipse February 9. A partner may inspire you or invoke horror, but it's unlikely that you'll have any result that falls in between.
Traveling a short distance over Valentine's Day sounds divine. Can't go then? A trip taken February 16-18 would produce perfection. Travel boosts romance, too.
More money can be yours if you're quick on the draw after the new moon, February 24 and the days that follow. It's a great time to ask for a raise. Pluto's position suggests you've got awesome behind-the-scenes support from VIPs.
Most romantic dates: February 4, 7, 12, 14, 16-18, 21-22, 27, and 28.
P.S. from Susan Miller for February
If you already ordered your 13-month "Year Ahead 2009 Astrological Wall Calendar" by me, Susan Miller, you saw this caption under the artwork of the lily pad for Pisces, on the March page. For those of you who didn't see it, here's the caption:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PISCES!
The tranquil waters of the lily pond have a Zen quality that invites meditation. This is an apt image for you, dear Pisces, for you are spiritual and philosophical in nature, the sign most capable of expressing unconditional love and compassion for a friend, family member, or even a complete stranger.
Each sign is considered a compilation of all the signs that come before it. As the last sign of the zodiac, you benefit from the qualities and talents of all eleven signs that precede yours, explaining why you are considered wise beyond your years.
While the March winds blow and heavy rains nurture the earth for spring's flowers and foliage, it's comforting to spend time in solitude, taking quiet walks and reflecting upon past experiences. Only by examining life, says Pisces, are we able to find meaning and inspiration from our experiences.
You are a water sign, and water cleanses, inspires, and heals. Many find that you have a similar effect on them. Water is mysterious and hard to read, and similarly, as a Pisces, you have depths and creative talents you don't always immediately reveal to others. There'll be time for that, you say, and of course you're right. You feel no special need to impress.
Neptune, your ruler, governs dreams, feeling, intuition, and the subconscious mind. All are areas that feed your rich imagination. Pisces is comfortable with ambiguity, and that's your strength. Your mind is free, playful, and open, and always ready to create worlds the rest of us have never fathomed.
